The Chamber of Halkidiki (EPIHAL) was established in 1991 by Presidential Decree and is headquartered in Polygyros, Greece. As a Public Law Entity, it serves as the official advisory body of the Greek State on matters related to entrepreneurship and local economic development. The Chamber represents more than 14,000 businesses operating in the manufacturing, commerce, services and tourism sectors.
Its mission is to support the local business community by providing information, advisory services, training and business support activities that promote entrepreneurship and sustainable business development. The Chamber supports local companies in improving their competitiveness expanding their opportunities and strengthening their presence in local and international markets through networking activities, participation in exhibitions, business missions, B2B meetings and initiatives that facilitate cooperation and innovation.
Through its participation in European cooperation projects, the Chamber has developed experience in initiatives that promote knowledge exchange, capacity building, innovation and cross-border collaboration, contributing to regional development and growth.
Partner role in MoreAdaptBSB
Within the MoreAdaptBSB project, the Chamber of Halkidiki (EPIHAL) is responsible for Communication, Dissemination and Digital Outputs, ensuring the effective visibility and promotion of the project's objectives, activities and results. Its responsibilities include the development and management of the project website, the production of digital communication materials, Story Maps and audiovisual content, the coordination of media relations and influencer marketing campaigns, as well as stakeholder engagement and public awareness activities. Working closely with all project partners, EPIHAL promotes Nature-based Solutions and climate adaptation practices while maximizing the project's outreach, stakeholder participation and the long-term impact of its results across the Black Sea Basin.
