Pilot Areas
The pilot areas are at the centre of MoreAdaptBSB. They provide real-life settings where Nature-based Solutions, remote sensing tools and environmental monitoring can be applied, tested and documented.
Romania
Constanta pilot area
The Constanta pilot area represents the Romanian demonstration context of MoreAdaptBSB. It will support the testing and documentation of approaches that combine environmental assessment, green space restoration and remote sensing-assisted monitoring. Final site-specific information should be provided by the responsible partner before publication.
Greece
Thermi pilot area
The Thermi pilot area represents the Greek demonstration context of MoreAdaptBSB. As an urban green space context within the wider metropolitan area of Thessaloniki, Thermi provides an opportunity to demonstrate how Nature-based Solutions can support local climate adaptation, environmental quality and community awareness.
Through the project, the pilot area will contribute to the implementation, monitoring and communication of practical restoration actions. Final technical details, exact intervention points, maps, monitoring data, GIS material and before / during / after material should be added after confirmation by the responsible partner.
Bulgaria
Primorsko pilot area
The Primorsko pilot area represents the Bulgarian demonstration context of MoreAdaptBSB. It supports the project objective of testing Nature-based Solutions and monitoring approaches in a local Black Sea Basin setting. Final site-specific information should be provided by the responsible partner before publication.
Ukraine
Odessa pilot area
The Odessa pilot area represents the Ukrainian demonstration context of MoreAdaptBSB. It contributes to the transnational character of the project and supports the exchange of knowledge on climate vulnerability, restoration needs and green space resilience. Final site-specific information should be provided by the responsible partner before publication.
