Less Vulnerability, More Adaptability

Project Context

Climate change is placing increasing pressure on coastal and urban areas across the Black Sea Basin. Rising temperatures, flooding, droughts, erosion, biodiversity loss and environmental degradation are affecting ecosystems, public spaces and the everyday life of local communities.

MoreAdaptBSB is a transnational cooperation project that aims to strengthen climate resilience through the restoration of urban and coastal green spaces. The project promotes innovative approaches based on Nature-based Solutions, supported by remote sensing technologies and environmental monitoring.

By combining scientific knowledge, digital tools, pilot actions and stakeholder engagement, MoreAdaptBSB seeks to provide practical solutions that can help local authorities and communities better understand climate vulnerability, restore green infrastructure and adapt to the impacts of climate change.

Overall Objective

To strengthen climate resilience in coastal and urban areas of the Black Sea Basin by restoring green infrastructure through Nature-based Solutions, supported by remote sensing technologies, scientific monitoring and transnational cooperation.
